“Photography converts life into shapes and figures, but life has no shape; it is both diffuse and concentrated. My study focused on photographing and collecting elements (snapshots of life) of a particular landscape. After developing the photographs, they are covered with the elements. A few days later the photographs are washed and fixed. The resulting image gives an impression of movement. The photographic medium thus becomes a place where alchemy follows its own course.
