This work deals with meaning and sound in language. Visitors in a zoo, particularly looking at chimpanzees, make differnet types of comments in French: mockery, distinguishing features, comparison, transference, beauty, ugliness, “oh look” – “oh regarde”, etc. Then these comments are classified thematically on a soundtrack. Alternating chimpanzee calls and human laughter punctuate the dialogue, creating a rhythm that is both dramatic and funny.
